kodi-eventclients-dev software package provides Open Source Home Theatre (Event Client Dev package), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kodi-eventclients-dev
kodi-eventclients-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kodi-eventclients-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kodi-eventclients-dev *
You will get with kodi-eventclients-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
